Strategy development for the battery sector

One of the world's most successful start-ups in the battery-powered vertical take-off small aircraft (eVTOL) segment is preparing to enter the market with design and series production. New ground is being broken in aviation, particularly in the area of energy supply and distribution.

Together with the customer, we were able to develop a strategy for the battery area within the short timeframe given. The goal of pushing the maximum technical limits in terms of energy density, range and safety was achieved. To this end, two partners were combined for development and production. In order to further minimize the risk associated with this crucial component, a third partner was acquired. This partner is driving forward the development and production of an alternative cell technology in parallel and synchronously with the first two.

We are convinced that this solution will provide the customer with the required component within the planned development period.

The same start-up company in the eVTOL segment (electrically powered vertical take-off aircraft), with which we have already developed the strategy in the battery procurement group, is struggling with a shortage of specialists and experts due to its rapid growth.

Thanks to our experts' many years of practical experience in the industry, CRAB Analytics was able to provide the customer with quick and uncomplicated bridging support until the right talent was found. In order to avoid development delays, they took over the negotiation management for the required contracts in the battery procurement group on behalf of the client. The main focus was on minimizing contractual obligations without jeopardizing the partnership between customer and supplier.

The potential cost minimization was successfully maximized. With considerable results in the double-digit million range on the individual contracts.
